Today's Favorite Thing is super simple, but we wouldn't want to be without it in our home.
As I've mentioned before, we live in a really small, older house. Our plumbing is not the best and if something goes wrong it is a huge job to make repairs. Professional plumbers in our town charge $80 per hour with a one hour minimum. We try to avoid plumbing problems at all cost. With three heads of long hair in this house, clogged drains are a real concern.
To avoid a clogged drain, we invested a few dollars in a hair-stopper drain cover for the shower. Every couple days we shake the little plastic drain cover over the trash can to get rid of any collected hair. No hair goes down the drain and no one is stuck with the dreaded job of having to clean a gross hairy drain.
That's it! That's all! Doesn't seem like much but it has huge potential for time and money savings! Everyone should have one of these in their shower as a cheap precautionary measure.
