We don't take four kids out to eat very often. It is expensive, and Kids Meals in restaurants are either nutritionally unsound, a financial rip-off or both. But, I do think it is important for kids to get the experience of eating out while they are growing up. It is important for them to learn restaurant manners and etiquette and it is a special treat or reward for them.
Denny's is my favorite, because they offer Kids Eat Free nights... I love it! At Denny's my family of 6 can eat for the cost of 2 meals. We can normally get out of there for under $20 and the kids think it is the greatest treat in the world. Lets be honest, Denny's is not the epitome of culinary excellence, but they do offer a Prime Rib Philly Melt that actually melts my heart.
Check with your local restaurant to verify the nights that they offer free kids meals, then round the family up and enjoy a dinner out, the frugal way!
